As a Sales Engineer, you define and comprehend the solution needs regarding pricing, forecasting, billing, hedging, settlement, insight analysis, and reporting in collaboration with our sales team and energy & utilities prospects. You can represent and demonstrate Gorilla’s pricing, forecasting, and reporting solutions to our prospects and clients thanks to your understanding of the European energy markets.

You actively participate in workshops with various stakeholders from the start of lead generation to the handover to the implementation team. In workshops, you’re the main motivator and may show prospects how to use Gorilla’s many features and options to meet their needs.

You examine and comprehend the pricing and sales operations of a potential customer. You can produce and provide customized demos, prepare project proposals with accuracy, and reply to request for proposals by gathering information. You take great satisfaction in consistently having a quality touchpoint with the prospect.

You naturally carry out all of this in close cooperation with your partners and coworkers since you firmly believe in co-creation and teamwork.

Responsabilities:

  • Assist in locating, pursuing, and closing new sales prospects by effectively using Gorilla’s sales process.
  • To increase Gorilla’s visibility and open up new business prospects, take advantage of and successfully sell Gorilla’s products within the energy and utilities sectors.
  • Survey potential clients on the customer site to get to know them, comprehend their needs, and pinpoint any potential trouble areas.
  • Take part in determining the goals, needs, and business requirements of the potential client.
  • Make customized product demos that highlight how the Gorilla solution can best satisfy the needs of each potential customer.
  • Provide customer-specific requirements to assist in the Product Management efforts so that the Gorilla solution may be improved upon over time.
  • After every sale, share the business requirements with the project/implementation team to guarantee a seamless transition from the pre-sales to the implementation phases and to guarantee a consistent level of client satisfaction.
  • Establish realistic expectations early in every sales effort and meet or surpass them to foster solid customer relationships.
  • Work together on opportunity plans and sales tactics with Gorilla field, corporate management, and other members of the virtual account team.
  • To help effectively position Gorilla solutions as the best pricing and forecasting solution in the industry, benchmark and learn about partner and rival solutions on a constant basis.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the application and the industry to assist implementation teams.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the intricate business SaaS software industry
  • Familiarity with hosted application architecture and the cloud
  • Knowledge and experience of the European energy and utility markets, particularly if this expertise was gained in a retail energy environment
  • A motivated self-starter with a track record of addressing problems
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulousness
  • Outstanding communication abilities both in writing and speaking
  • Dynamic presenting abilities as well as the capacity to nurture others
  • Broad knowledge of consultative selling training techniques
  • You are not merely an authority on the subject; you are also a people person.
