Responsabilities:
- Oversee the Group Data Catalogue’s daily operations and make the most of all of its features while understanding its technological environment.
- Enhance the organization’s data quality through rule implementation and profiling, and be able to quantify quality gains and pinpoint the value that produces
- Provide impact statements and accompanying key performance metrics together with ideas for prioritization in order to resolve quality issues with data quality triage methods that you develop and apply.
- Establish and put into place data catalogue procedures that will enable users to deal with data and artifacts in a standard manner and facilitate quick discovery, prototyping, and data science—processes that can then be translated into working solutions.
- Oversee the daily operations of the Group Data Catalogue and make the most of all of its features.
- Determine which artifacts are suitable for ingestion and make sure the Data Community is informed, comprehends, and makes use of them.
- Keep the Group Data Catalogue current by eliminating articles and data sources that are no longer needed, dormant, or outdated. Any non-compliance is dealt with promptly and appropriately.
- Make sure you are conversant with the Data Catalogue software provider(s), reviewing and suggesting that you make use of the features found in the most recent editions. making sure you stay up to date with the most recent versions,
- Work with the appropriate owners and subject matter experts to drive through the essential measures to facilitate the rehabilitation of source system data quality.
- Collaborate with the community of data ownership and stewardship to promote suitable enhancements in data quality, highlighting this via a data cataloging feature.
- Set priorities for your job (three to six months in advance), use time management techniques, and finish projects on schedule.
- Determine the root cause of the problem, correct any perceived or actual problems with the quality of the data, and make the necessary recommendations.
Requirements:
- Sophisticated SQL abilities
- Strong familiarity with the technology, tools, abilities, and procedures needed to produce a high-quality data output
- Knowledgeable with and able to illustrate the ideas of ownership, stewardship, cataloging, metadata, and data quality
- knowledgeable about using or having worked with data cataloging tools like Collibra, Alation, or others.
- Working knowledge of GitHub
- Prior expertise utilizing Tableau, Microstrategy, Power BI, or other tools to create reports and visuals
- Understanding Data Vault Modeling
- knowledge of digital solutions, data warehouses, and related toolkits, as well as their design and development.
- Lifecycles of data and information management
- Understanding and utilizing data quality techniques, strategies, and procedures
- a degree in a scientific or mathematical field
- How to perform root cause analysis, resolution, and triage: Desirable
