OVERVIEW
Assisting the Environmental Services Manager (ESM) in overseeing the Cleaning Operation at The Rock Shopping Centre in Bury, the Deputy Environmental Services Manager’s duties will include managing the cleaning budget, ordering and replenishing stock, managing daily client interactions, operations, and HR-related procedures. This is a hands-on role that will need you to do a variety of cleaning duties.
Responsabilities:
- Support the team leader in overseeing the Environmental Services division to guarantee a productive and encouraging work atmosphere.
- Make sure that every cleaning operation is well planned, with regular tasks scheduled in advance and everyone signing off on finished duties and tasks.
- A commitment to the team’s growth and training, the establishment of effective working procedures, and a goal that unites the cleaning process with the creation of satisfying client experiences.
- Compliance, security, and health and safety.
- Assist the company with service-related issues and the shopping center with all contractual issues by offering competent assistance.
- Assuming responsibility and managing to resolve any cleaning-related comments or concerns in the absence of the ESM.
To make sure we stay at the forefront of cleaning and operational procedures, concentrate on strategic planning, using best practices, and implementing innovation. - Make sure the staff members handling cleaning and presentations are knowledgeable and well-equipped to enhance every day the guest experience for every customer.
- As needed, assist the ESM in overseeing and documenting all cleaning operation budgets, including projected expenditures.
- Help with payroll completion, staff roster delivery and control, and accurate staffing levels.
- Assist the ESM in overseeing and counseling the group in the management of holiday and absence records, encompassing sick leave and yearly leave for all employees.
- Conduct and oversee daily center audits to guarantee that the facility is always kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Help with hiring, onboarding, training, and developing colleagues. Ensure that there is a continuous focus. Submit a monthly report to the ESM.
- Assist the ESM in making sure that sufficient quality performance measures (KPIs/SLAs) are met and that any non-compliance is handled professionally, with transparent plans and next steps for everyone to see.
- Make sure that the GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and all related regulations are strictly followed.
