To negotiate confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, and other commercial contracts that our clients entrust to us, we are searching for a corporate/transactional lawyer. Every phase of the document lifecycle is handled by our attorneys, starting with document execution and ending with document review and negotiation under the direction of client playbooks. Being in daily contact with the client will be your primary responsibility, and you will play a crucial part in fostering your client connections.
Responsabilities:
- Contract negotiation involves a great deal of reviewing and negotiating pre-M&A contracts, speaking with counterparties face-to-face, and keeping to deadlines. maintaining constant updates to client playbooks.
- Client management is the process of overseeing and strengthening your connections with clients and serving as a reliable source of advice.
- Collaborating as a team: Assessing the work of less experienced team members, working with other Avantia attorneys and paralegals, and offering assistance with training as needed.
Requirements:
- Authorized to practise law in Europe or the United Kingdom.
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate/transactional law, either in private practice or in-house.
- Although not required, experience working with investment banks, asset managers, or other financial services firms is preferred.
- Capable of independently negotiating pre-M&A contracts (such as engagement letters, joinders, NDAs, and NRLs)
- Capable of adjusting to Avantia’s technology package and tech-savvy (e.g. HighQ). Any particular interest in legal technology and artificial intelligence is much appreciated!
