Kent is a fire extinguisher engineer.

In and around Greater London, FAFS Fire & Security specializes in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automatic fire detection, protection, and alarm systems. A new Fire Extinguisher Engineer servicing the Kent region is what we are now looking to appoint.

Base Pay up to £30,000 annually, depending on experience

Responsabilities:

Fire extinguishers on customer locations are serviced, inspected, and maintained in accordance with applicable British Standards. Respond to calls to fix fire suppression systems, emergency lighting, fire extinguishing equipment, and fire alarms as needed. To uphold the highest standards of customer satisfaction by representing the company in a professional manner.

  • Maintain fire extinguishers regularly in compliance with applicable British Standards
  • As needed, clean, restock, fix, and recharge fire extinguishers.
  • Install brand-new fire extinguishers and fire safety apparatus.
  • Make routine service visits in accordance with the Service Department’s instructions.
  • At all times, deliver excellent customer service
  • Make sure thorough records of all visits, inspections, and work are maintained, and that all documentation is handled quickly and expertly.
  • Inform clients of any necessary corrective action and provide estimates for these tasks.
  • Do surveys involving fire extinguishers
  • Perform routine visual inspections of all fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839, Part 1 1988.
  • Perform basic fire alarm testing in accordance with BS 5839 Section 4, but only at customer request.
  • Throughout the day, stay in touch with your Line Manager and report any pertinent issues.
  • As part of an on-call schedule, take part in after-hours tasks.

  • Two years or more of experience in service
  • Capacity to fulfill the responsibilities of the position and operate in a fast-paced setting Understanding and familiarity with the pertinent British Standards and requirements
  • Complete driving license in the UK
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and outstanding customer service capabilities
