Responsabilities:

  • As a Data Protection Manager at Sainsbury’s, your position will largely focus on supporting the Group Data Protection Officer in ensuring compliance with data protection legislation across the Sainsbury’s Group.
  • You will be responsible for managing and completing Data Protection Impact Assessments and Records of Processing Activities for the firm.
  • This will involve designing and administering the Data Protection Impact Assessment process and templates, aiding the business in completing assessments, and giving support on ad hoc data protection problems.
  • In addition, you will support privacy and implant a culture of privacy compliance, create and implement legal and privacy controls, and engage with key stakeholders to garner support and buy-in for privacy projects. Additionally, you will be essential in supporting incident response efforts, monitoring project progress and milestones, doing routine risk assessments, and providing privacy training and awareness initiatives.
  • You will drive change and cultivate a privacy-focused culture inside Sainsbury’s while ensuring that the company maintains a solid and compliant data protection framework thanks to your subject matter expertise, legal degrees, and excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Requeriments:

  • You are an extremely competent individual with legal degree and subject matter experience in data protection working as a Sainsbury’s data protection manager. Having worked extensively on data protection issues for at least two years, including implementing and overseeing data governance, you have a thorough awareness of intricate organizational structures and the skills necessary to successfully navigate them. Your ability to persuade stakeholders, promote change, and ensure compliance with data protection legislation is a result of your strategic approach and outstanding communication skills.
  • You manage data events, carry out risk assessments, and provide excellent replies to data issues with a proactive and outcome-oriented approach because of your strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and process-driven mentality.
